Infinite Possibilities Collection

Silverlining's latest collection confidently ushers in a new era of furniture making, blending infinite creativity, unexpected materials and groundbreaking techniques. Each concept redefines the limits of contemporary design and sets a new standard for what’s achievable—from the finely micro-etched layers of Spiropath to the human-enhanced AI pattern of Ginkgo Gold. This collection intelligently unites the classical and the modern, seamlessly integrating time- honoured craftsmanship with cutting-edge technologies.

In this bold collection, waste materials are reborn, and overlooked industrial elements are transformed into luxurious finishes. These designs are not just innovative; they are a testament to ingenious thinking and unparalleled artistry. As trailblazers in the industry, Silverlining continues to redefine luxury, forging a unique path that reflects the meticulous craftsmanship, visionary design and pioneering spirit that defines Silverlining's ethos.

Spiropath

The Spiropath design merges hue, form and movement, drawing inspiration from colour field theory. The concept pushes the boundaries of laser micro-etching with multiple layers, varied depths and overlaying colours that create a mesmerizing perception of velocity and three- dimensional form.

Micro-etched circles of varying scales are filled with overlapping hues, resulting in captivating visual effects of depth and vibrancy. These etched lines are then hand-polished to reveal an intricate geometric surface.

Terra Carta

Terra Carta combines advanced parametric design with micro-paper. Thanks to its innovative evolution of papier-mâché, it elevates this humble time-honoured material to a luxurious finish, with its unusual, weathered stone texture.

White micro-paper with subtle fluted texture and a natural clay finish contrasts with the brass surfaces, showcasing an acid-etched halftone pattern transitioning from brushed to patinated finishes, with an internal faceted and polished aperture.

Ginkgo Gold

The ginkgo, or maidenhair tree, is one of the oldest living tree species on our planet. It has a long history of medical and spiritual uses, and the ginkgo leaf itself is a symbol of resilience, healing and longevity. It represents peace, hope and vitality.

Ginkgo Gold brings together human craftsmanship and artificial intelligence. AI-enhanced patterns, based on intricate hand sketches and photography of ginkgo leaves, are then refined by an artist. The final patterns have been rendered in materials including ebonised Bolivar and moon gold leaf, bringing both historical significance and contemporary elegance to the design.

Achromatic Fusion

Hand carving and sand cast aluminium takes centre stage in Achromatic Fusion. This traditional industrial material is reimagined through classic craftsmanship techniques of bespoke furniture making. The texture of the transformed aluminium is mirrored across the hand-carved maple timber in a natural, seashell powder-pigmented finish. Surrounding these two intersecting and contrasting components are areas of tactile nubuck leather.

Vivid Aurora

Vibrant astrophotography and abstract acrylic paintings inspired the design of Vivid Aurora, which sees waste materials transformed into a contemporary, conceptual finish.

Hundreds of otherwise discarded offcuts of custom-dyed ripple sycamore have been submerged in bio-resin to create a textured design with fluid, curved lines. A vivid, dynamic blend of textures and colours brings a sense of depth and movement. Intersecting, tapering bands of polished and textured 23-carat Champagne gold-plated brass accentuate the change from the hand-tooled and embossed dark brown coach-hide leather section below.

LeafFrog leather

The LeafFrog leather design sees natural leaves from the Elephant Ear plant transformed into a durable, elegant leather alternative, using organic resins and polymers.

The leather alternative has been combined with fumed oak oysters, classic oil-gilded gold leaf, metallized resin etching and a miniature sterling silver ‘Brazilian tree frog’. The materials, transformed through Silverlining’s exceptional craftsmanship, are a tour-de-force of furniture making.

Veiled Magnolia

Veiled Magnolia brings together classical veiled marble sculpture inspirations, the magnolia flower’s beauty and the latest technologies.

The hand-carved figured sycamore flowers and a solid aluminium 'veil' design are created using 3D scanning and CNC machining, exemplifying the juxtaposition of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques.

This combination of man-made with natural materials, and hand skills with advanced technologies, form the signature of Silverlining’s unique approach to contemporary furniture making.

Pixel Matrix

The humble straw reaches its extraordinary creative potential in the Pixel Matrix. The design combines finely detailed straw marquetry with custom-dyed straw end grain to create a modern surface design. The creamy-caramel tooling-hide leather, embossed with a cubist pattern, complements the vibrant colours of the straw and adds depth to create a 3D effect.

The design has been inspired by pixelated images viewed at extremely low resolutions. The patterns form a matrix, an array of quantities in rows and columns treated as a single entity.
